Lord of War (2005)

Andrew Niccol is a New Zealand film maker New Zealand should make more noise about. He has a track record of writing (and directing) movies that are different from most. Defiantly intelligent, Lord of War is a statistical anomaly amongst the mass of emphatically dumb blockbusters. It shows the true human cost of international arms dealing – most importantly to the victims but also to the perpetrators. We are left with a compelling statement about man’s inhumanity to man, and a must watch movie.
