Creationist Movie Exposed to the Light of Day

After the furore around PZ Myers being expelled from a screening of expelled, there have been further reactions to the movie. If you are interested in the content of the movie, don’t waste your time by going to see it: read this review instead. The NCSE are creating a website that will be a detailed response to the claims in the movie. It is under construction now but will be launched in a couple of weeks. Richard Dawkins has written his response to the movie here. The New Scientist blog has a critical review here.

This movie seems to be a very American phenomenon – arguing against science in the arena of public relations with a basically religious appeal – but that is not to say that this phenomenon is limited to America: witness the climate change denialists and the way they ignore scientific opinion and instead publish op-ed pieces in papers. If you are genuinely interested in Intelligent Design and the so-called debate with evolutionary theory see the American documentary on the Dover trial here instead of Stein and Mathis’ dishonest piece of empty propaganda.
